100 Years of RAH

Over the weekend was the 100th anniversary of Robert A. Heinlein’s birthday. There was a big bash up in Kansas City. It is hard to imagine any single author that’s been more influential on my thinking. Go read Starship Troopers and The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress and you’ve got a lot of my political philosophy. Anyhow, Brian Doherty has deeper musings on Heinlein’s legacy.

Wow. How could I have missed RAH's birthday? Thanks for reminding me. I was among the founders of the Libertarian Party of Canada in 1973 and we deliberately launched the party officially on Heinlein's birthday. He influenced me greatly and I miss him, especially knowing I will never get to read another original work by the master.
