Skully Goodness

If you believe, as I do, that skulls are an essential and integral part of home decor, this video featuring Noah Scalin from Skulladay is pretty cool. It's made all the more odd by the fact that Martha is showing you how to make skulls.

I have been told, but have not gotten around to verifying myself, that Martha's book on Halloween is actually worth picking up. I'd take that with a grain of salt, depending on your Martha tolerance, but it might be worth checking out.

Alas, for the second year in a row, we are not doing much in the way of Halloween. Too many other issues for this season. Hopefully next year we'll be a little more prepared for the season. I'm afraid a bag of candy for any nocturnal visitors will be our only concession.

Mary Ann Wins

Well, the news of Mary Ann's arrest for possession of marijuana should help settle the age-old debate of Ginger v. Mary Ann for some. Ginger always seemed like she had a tendency to slam a couple gin & tonics and get mean, like throwing shit at your head mean. Now that we know Mary Ann is a doper, that changes the whole equation. High maintenance star or laid back doper girl? You can make the call, but I think I know which side I'd come down on.

One Sentence Review: Moonlight

Watch with increasing indifference and contempt as Mick St. John, world’s most incompetent vampire, repeatedly puts self in mortal peril only to be saved by plucky blond female internet reporter as you realize there must be something more worthwhile you could be doing with your life.

In other words, skip it.
