Life Is Tragi-Comic

So I'm over at Belmont Club reading the latest from Wretchard. As I understand this, there is an organization called the Mindanao (or Moro) Islamic Liberation Front. This group is apparently in armed rebellion against the government in the Philippines.

So I think I have the basic story right, and can sum it up in one sentence. If I'm missing something, help me out.
